Synopsis
1942年5月，华北日军发动“五一大扫荡”，对我冀中军区根据地进行“铁壁合围”。八路军某部侦察队长刘汉带队，由山中猎户出身的李家兄弟等人作为向导，在护送机要员魏先生前往冀中军区的途中遭遇日军扫荡部队，被迫分头潜入安定县城，却在县城联络点被特务队伏击。负伤的刘汉被洪大宝所救，在妇救会长王玉兰帮助下得到上级的命令，伤愈后留在安定地区建立敌后武工队，打击日寇。刘汉在进步青年钟婷婷，猎户出身的李元杰，抗日救国军的郑二宝等人的帮助下，与安定县城的日军展开了斗智斗勇的战斗，他们灵活机智，运用各种手段打击日寇，队伍也在对日战斗中得到成长，成为一把插在敌人胸口的刺刀，沉重地打击了日本侵略者的嚣张气焰，为即将到来的主力部队大反攻，收复安定县城奠定了基础，为取得抗日战争的最终胜利，做出了自己的一份贡献。
