Synopsis
故事发生在抗战时期的华北平原。堡垒村高家庄遭到日军少佐山田（王奎荣 饰）和汉奸汤丙会（李琦 饰）的偷袭，民兵队长高传宝（王千源 饰）设计将敌人引开，但狡猾的敌人分几路包抄，情况危在旦夕，关健时刻，渔民小兴（许还幻 饰）与爷爷掩护了他们，但爷爷却不幸牺牲。秋天来临，高老忠（姜华 饰）号召全村改造地道打击敌人，但消息被敌特侦察到，高家庄付出了惨痛代价。赵区长针对以往教训，组织民兵学习毛主席的《论持久战》等著作，充分发挥大家的想象力和创造力，把全村的地道连成一片，形成了消灭敌人的地下长城。在一次战斗中山田暴毙，敌人又派出继任井上（候天来 饰）卷土重来......
